Lewis Whitmore is 12 years old speedway rider based in King's Lynn, and races speedway all over the UK and Internationally.
He is a member of the British Superbike Team, Morello Racing.
Lewis first rode a speedway bike in 2010, at the Wayne Carter Training School in Scunthorpe. At the start of the 2011 season Wayne said he was ready for competition racing, and this was evident when he won his debut meeting.
He was then signed up for the 125cc British Championship Series, and finished 4th overall in 2012.
Lewis moved up a group into the 250cc class and despite being the youngest competitor in the series, he made two finals and managed to get race wins over every rider come the end of the series
He continued in the 250cc British Championships in 2013, and this was highlighted with Lewis winning the British Championship round at Rye House, as well as many podium finishes throughout the season.
Some good International results were enjoyed, which included Australia, Germany and France.
He has also been mascot for Ipswich and Mildenhall for the previous two seasons and will continue with these clubs in 2014.
Lewis will be competing in the 250cc British Championships again for 2014, and training with ex GP rider and Ipswich promoter Chris Louis, Lewis will also be racing abroad in Open Invitational Meetings, and has been invited to Australia for the winter to train and race in the Rob Woffinden Classic and State Title.
Lewis is looking forward to the 2014 season and will keep showing the desire and passion that he has for speedway, which he hopes one day can be his professional career!
